David Blatt stated that the loss to Le Mans was due to three reasons and pointed out that Aris should fix the problem of not playing good enough away from Alexandrio Melathro all this season.

“We wanted to win tonight and have the second quarterfinal at home. Maybe we didn’t show it on court, but we really wanted to win this game. We are disappointed we didn’t make it, but we must look ahead. The result was because of three things: We didn’t rebound, we turned the ball over way too much and we didn’t defend one-on-one”, the American-Israeli coach said and added:

“Playing against Valencia will be a very big challenge. It’s a very big team for this competition, but I think whatever opponent we would play against at this level it would be a hard match for us. I think it certainly helped Le Mans tonigh the fact that they hadn’t any pressure, but let’s not make excuses for the result. We are not playing well away, the team hasn’t played well away all year and it’s something we have to address we have to fix”.
