Aris might be “consistently inconsistent” all season, but David Blatt stated that his team is able to win anybody on a good day. The American-Israeli coach’s quotes at the Press Conference, after the road victory against Panellinios:

“We’re very happy with this win over one of the best teams in Greece this year, which has proven its ability in the Greek League and in the Eurocup as well. Sometimes, when you miss players, ironically this turns out to be an advantage, because other players step up to the responsibility, gain confidence and play better.

We have been consistently inconsistent this year, but when we’re good, we’re really good and we can beat anyone. We lost some away games we should have won, this is something we must consider as well. However, after the hard last two weeks without any official games, we had a smart and hard-fought game here and respectfully we deserved to win.

Obviously we will have to play against Olympiakos or Panathinaikos in the playoffs. It’s not a picnic, each way you go. However, I do believe that they don’t want to play against us either, because they know they won’t have an easy game against us. Aris is not a team they would like to compete with”.
