Despite the loss in Peristeri, David Blatt didn’t express any disappointment regarding his players’ effort at the Press Conference which followed the game.

“Congratulations to Peristeri team. That game could have gone either way.My guys played hard and tried to win. I have no complaints with their mentality and effort, but we are missing a lot right now. In the end of the day, if you don’t score some easy shots from close range you can’t win a good team such as Peristeri and that’s what happened today. It’s difficult not to have the whole roster. I’d be happy to see this effort every day, but we have to do our job better and put the ball in the basket”, the American-Israeli coach said and added: “I hope that Betts will play the next game. Richardson is very doubtful, though. Also, Miles’s situation is very difficult. He practically plays on one leg and he can’t be the same player as before the injury”.

On behalf of Aris’s players, Nikos Barlos quoted: “We really wanted to win this game. We were well-prepared and knew that it would take a lot of courage to make it happen, because Peristeri is strong in here. However, we missed too many rebounds and shots and it cost us. Nevertheless, we don’t give up. We still have the winning spirit. We know that there aren’t many opportunities left, in order to make up and finish in a suitable position in the regular season, but I think that in the end we will make it and we will have the chance to fulfill our goals in the play-offs”.
