The start of the playoffs will be the start of a whole new season for Aris, David Blatt said two days ahead of the first game against Olympiacos (Saturday 01/05, 18:45) for the quarterfinal round.
"This 'best-of-three' type of series adds another dynamic and puts pressure to both teams. We have been drawn to play against one of the best teams in Europe, which has proven so in all competitions this year. Olympiacos is a high quality team, these game will be a great challenge for us and we're looking forward to it", the American-Israeli coach said and added:
"We will try to stay close to Olympiacos and put enough pressure. In their gym, they can blow away any opponent, so we must find a way to stay close. If we do that, we will have a chance to win. They have multiple weapons and they have the confidence of the winners. So, if we play a normal game, we'll have a hard time. But if we play a great game, we might have a chance to beat them".
